Green Chemistry practices to reduce environmental damages and to produce economic benefits

These principles were proposed and introduced by Paul Anastas and John Warner in 1998 and act as a guiding framework that is to be followed while applying and implementing chemistry in any field.
The benefits of Green Chemistry are many. Not only does it significantly reduce pollution levels by producing cleaner air and water, but it also makes the food and the products we consume safer and healthier. People working in chemical industries can now have safer workplace conditions thus reducing the risk of falling prey to various illnesses. It has also consistently been successful in reducing our exposure to toxic chemicals.
